The RD200 is an extremely versatile, easy-to-operate data acquisition recorder. The RD200 features a unique and simple-to-use user interface (320-character/8 line display) which allows easy set-up and display of all recorder functions with random access to all menus. Every channel is capable of recording all of the most popularly desired measurements - Voltages, Current, Temperature, and Frequency. The input backpack, which can be detached from the recorder, permits easy access to the input connectors. The RD200 supports a discrete mode which allows registration on the recording chart of high frequency transients (up to 30 Hz) while preserving correct waveform. In extended mode, the math feature allows the recorder pen(s) to register the results of a combination of channel inputs and/or input calculations. Using 10" (250 mm) Z-fold paper, the RD200 can store up to 3 individual user-defined system settings in a non-volatile memory (including all channel parameters), in addition to the factory default settings. The RD200's many useful features also include servo/discrete modes, zone recording, pen offset compensation, XY mode, mathematical calculations, and a dust-resistant enclosure. A key feature of the RD200 is its logging capability. With sampling rates of up to 100 Hz/channel, data can be directed through the standard RS-232 interface to a PC, or to the optional onboard MS-DOS compatible 3.5" FDD. Once acquired, the data can be imported in ASCII format to spreadsheet programs for further analysis, or even replayed back onto the recorder chart. A basic program is supplied for logging through the RS-232 interface to an IBM-compatible PC. For annotation of text on the chart, an optional inkjet printhead is capable of printing values, messages and alarms, time/date stamps, and channel axis in front of the pens.
